耐火衬里高温六角钢网
Refractory lining with high temperature hexsteel mesh is a reinforced lining system designed for use in severe thermal and mechanical environments. It is commonly used in cyclones, reactors, ducts, flue gas lines, furnaces, incinerators, and other process equipment exposed to abrasion, corrosion, and high temperatures.Hexsteel mesh is a hexagonal cellular steel grid produced from rolled steel plates by punching and forming into a honeycomb pattern. The hexagonal cells create a three‑dimensional anchoring network that mechanically locks monolithic refractories, gunnites, or castables to the steel shell of the vessel. This design greatly improves adherence, reduces the risk of spalling, and extends lining life under dynamic operating conditions. The mesh is usually manufactured from carbon steel, stainless steel, or heat‑resistant alloys depending on the process temperature and atmosphere. Typical thicknesses range from about 1.5 mm to 3.0 mm, with cell depths matched to the refractory thickness. Standard patterns include fully perforated hexagonal cells, with optional solid strips or special cut‑outs to accommodate expansion joints, fixing points, or thermal bridges.During installation, sheets of hexsteel mesh are shaped to fit the internal diameter or profile of the equipment and then welded directly to the steel shell. The mesh acts as a permanent formwork and anchor for the refractory. Castable or plastic refractory is then applied by casting, trowelling, or gunning to fill and cover the cells. Once cured and dried, the refractory becomes integrally bonded through the mesh to the shell, providing a monolithic, crack‑resistant structure. This system offers several performance advantages over conventional brick linings or flat anchors. The honeycomb geometry distributes thermal and mechanical stresses more evenly and prevents large‑scale delamination. The many small cells interrupt crack propagation, so any cracking in the refractory tends to be localized. The positive mechanical interlock is particularly beneficial in areas subject to vibration, erosion by dust‑laden gas streams, thermal cycling, or rapid temperature changes.High temperature hexsteel mesh linings are widely used in petrochemical plants, refineries, power stations, waste‑to‑energy units, cement and steel plants. They are suitable for both hot‑face and back‑up refractory systems, and can be tailored in alloy grade, thickness, and cell size to meet specific process requirements. Through careful selection of mesh and refractory materials, this lining technology provides reliable protection of steel shells, longer service intervals, and reduced maintenance downtime in demanding high temperature service.
